Courage expands my opportunities
Valuable opportunities surround me each day. With sufficient courage, I can seize them.
I know that my fears are natural. I accept them. At the same time, I know that I can still decide to act in spite of my doubts.
Becoming braver is a gradual process. I start out with small steps. I ask my neighbor to return the ladder I loaned them last week. This helps me develop the skills I need to ask my boss for a raise.
I am sensible about risks. I protect my mental and physical wellbeing. I consider the impact that I may have on others.
On the other hand, I want a full life. I am daring when I see the chance to learn and grow.
I am willing to look foolish. A few minutes of embarrassment seems like a small price to pay for progress. I sign up for my first yoga class even if the other students may be more advanced.
I am ready to face opposition and stand up for my values. When someone is being criticized unfairly, I point out the facts even if the majority opinion is on the other side.
I challenge my capabilities. I try out a new recipe for a seven layer cake or volunteer for a difficult assignment at work.
Today, I know that a brave heart widens my world. I am willing to take greater risks when I see all that I have to gain.
