Learning from mistakes makes me stronger
The older I get, the wiser I become.
My life lessons help me grow, and I learn to cope with challenges by looking back at my experiences and applying those lessons. When faced with similar circumstances, I can remind myself of my knowledge and use the lesson learned.
I am gaining wisdom through my experiences. I understand that controlling everything is impossible. However, I can control how I react to my situation. When I try to blame others or ignore something that upsets me, I lose the opportunity to progress.
I look at it objectively and use my experience to help me improve. I notice when I am having emotional responses rather than logical ones. I pause before acting and think about what I should do.
I stay calm and collected. I choose to view things with a sense of humor and laugh at myself. I can laugh about the situation if I choose. I have great empathy for others.
Every mistake helps me learn from the experience. It allows me to examine the situation and avoid repeating it. Each event is unique and holds a different lesson.
I pick up on my adverse reactions sooner and avoid making the same mistakes. I avoid hiding my mistakes and instead share them with others to learn from their experience.
I am proud of myself for learning from my mistakes. I feel confident enough to speak my mind and express my feelings, and I'm comfortable sharing my emotions.
Today, I can accept myself and forgive my mistakes. I am willing to fail and keep trying until I reach success.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- Which mistakes can I recall?
- How does it feel?
- From whom do I learn the most in life?
