A new state of the art for unsupervised computer vision
by Rachel Gordon| MIT CSAIL
MIT CSAIL scientists created an algorithm to solve one of the hardest tasks in computer vision: assigning a label to every pixel in the world, without human supervision.
Web3 Security: Attack Types and Lessons Learned
by Riyaz Faizullabhoy and Matt Gleason | Andreessen Horowitz
A good deal of web3 security rests on blockchains’ special ability to make commitments and to be resilient to human intervention. But the related feature of finality – where transactions are generally irreversible – makes these software-controlled networks a tempting target for attackers. Indeed, as blockchains – the distributed computer networks that are the foundation of web3 – and their accompanying technologies and applications accrue value, they become increasingly coveted targets for attackers.

Tesla Takes A 9400 Mile, Solar-Powered Road Trip
By Jo Borrás | CleanTechnica

Happy 32nd Birthday to Hubble!
We're celebrating the Hubble Space Telescope's 32nd birthday with a stunning look at an unusual close-knit collection of five galaxies, called The Hickson Compact Group 40.
This eclectic galaxy grouping includes three spiral-shaped galaxies, an elliptical galaxy, and a lenticular (lens-like) galaxy. Somehow, these different galaxies crossed paths in their evolution to create an exceptionally crowded and eclectic galaxy sampler.
